I think that we will get a first on experience of what happened with the victims of Katrina. My initial feelings were: "How could anyone have survived with all that water around and possibly have a good life?" I didn't really feel anything when Katrina first hit. It was just another hurricane but as time wore on and the situation got worse I began to feel some sadness and helplessness towards the people down there that I couldn't help. I think the Government took too long to take any kind of action and far, far too long to declare it a state of emergency, and a natural catastrophe. I more or less was amused by Kanye West's comment to George W. Bush. It was uncalled for and unnecessary. That is an opinion that he should keep to himself. I hope we never have to go through anything like Katrina ever again.
